50 New Viking Skeletons Found
It all begins with an idea.
Archaeologists in Denmark have unearthed more than 50 “exceptionally well preserved” skeletons in a large Viking-era burial ground in the east of the country. The excavation team have stated the graves date back to the 9th and 10th centuries. The thing they are the most excited for is the amount of teeth intact in the skeletons. This should give the researchers an insight into the overall health of the people buried in the many graves they now have to excavate. The skeletons were buried alongside artifacts from far beyond Denmark’s borders, suggesting Vikings traveled extensively for trade, according to the team from the museum. There appear to be several versions of artifacts we’ve seen before such as tri-fold brooches but with new designs.
